LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Mark Huizenga is encouraging residents of Kent and Ottawa counties to attend a public town hall meeting in Rockford on Thursday, March 20.
“Listening to the people about the issues facing their families and our state and discussing possible solutions is vital to being an effective public servant,” said Huizenga, R-Walker. “Next month, I am hosting a town hall meeting to provide an update on state government, share my legislative priorities, and answer questions on the issues that matter most to the people of West Michigan.”
The March 20 town hall meeting will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Krause Memorial Library, located at 140 E. Bridge St. NE in Rockford.
“Everyone is welcome at this event,” Huizenga said. “I encourage folks to send in their questions, and anyone who is unable to attend the event can also contact my office to share their thoughts about the future of our state and region.”
Questions for the town hall or comments to the senator’s office may be submitted at SenatorMarkHuizenga.com/contact/.
Huizenga represents the 30th Senate District, which includes the northern half of the city of Grand Rapids; the cities of Coopersville, Rockford and Walker; and the townships of Ada, Allendale, Alpine, Cascade, Grand Rapids, Plainfield, Polkton, Tallmadge, and Wright.
